Anthropic is planning to build a massive data center called River Bend on a 611-acre campus in West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana, developed by Hut 8 and financed through a 15-year, $7 billion lease with Fluidstack, guaranteed by Google. The site will deliver 245 MW of IT compute capacity backed by 330 MW of total power, running on Google TPUs. Once fully operational, targeted for Q2 2027, the facility could generate $1.3 billion in monthly revenue with estimated gross margins of around 85%. The first construction phase is expected to create 1,500 jobs and generate up to $90 million in annual tax revenue for the parish.
