Mercedes-Benz and Nvidia announced on October 16, 2026 an expansion of their strategic partnership to develop next-generation driver assistance and automated driving systems. Two vehicles anchor this collaboration: the all-new CLA equipped with NVIDIA DRIVE AV software offering Level 2++ assistance, and the new S-Class featuring a Level 4-ready architecture built on NVIDIA Hyperion. Nvidia is supplying its Alpamayo family of AI models, simulation tools and redundant safety architectures, all integrated into Mercedes’ MB.OS platform. The S-Class could potentially be used for robotaxi services in collaboration with Uber. This partnership, which dates back to 2020-2021, is not exclusive as Mercedes is also working with Momenta and Wayve on parallel efforts.
