Ledger, a French company specializing in cryptocurrency security, is launching its B2B offensive with Ledger Atom, a device designed to secure employee connections, internal applications, sensitive communications, and AI agents for businesses. The device stores passkeys in a secure chip rather than on iCloud or Google, eliminating the single point of failure created by cloud storage, with each connection requiring physical validation on the device’s screen. Ledger’s Key Ring Protocol allows decryption keys to remain on each user’s device, so that a hacker would only recover unreadable data in case of a breach. Financial institutions using Ledger Enterprise can now control their operations through AI agents, but each action remains subject to human validation or predefined rules such as spending limits. Ledger Atom is expected in summer 2027, but the company has not yet disclosed its commercial offering or pricing for businesses.
