Index provider MSCI adopted new rules on Thursday that will make “non-operating companies” ineligible for its global investable market indexes. Strategy, Metaplanet and Upexi had been identified as potentially deletable, while Sharplink, Ton Strategy Company, Solana Company and DeFi Development Corp. are on a watchlist. The final list of companies to be removed will be published on November 11 and will take effect on November 30, 2026.
