The M-CERT, the maritime sector’s cyber incident response center, alerted French ports and shipowners on October 14 about imminent DDoS attacks targeting notably the Grand Port Maritime de Marseille and Port Atlantique La Rochelle. Behind this offensive, the pro-Russian collective NoName057(16) recruits volunteers via Telegram, paying them approximately one dollar per day in crypto (TON) for every 500,000 requests generated through the DDoSia software. Europol dismantled part of the group’s infrastructure in July 2025 during Operation Eastwood, but it continues its activities and now claims approximately 7,700 attack orders per month, up from the 6,300 recorded before the operation. At this stage, none of the targeted entities has confirmed any actual service disruption.
