The Cardano network reached its highest activity level in five years, processing 1,780,896 transactions during the Epoch 660 cycle (October 6-11), surpassing the previous record of 1.56 million operations set in November 2021. This traffic surge was mainly driven by community mobilization around decentralized governance votes during the Voltaire era, with users massively activating their wallets to vote on changes to the network’s economic parameters. The network absorbed this load without disruption, with an average block density of 83.83 transactions per block and a total output volume of 46.71 billion lovelace over five days. Paradoxically, despite these solid fundamentals, the ADA token dropped 3.58% to $0.2429, illustrating a complete decoupling between the network’s operational performance and its market valuation.
