Anthropic, the AI laboratory known for its Claude model family, has reportedly entered into a multiyear cloud services agreement with IREN, a data center operator formerly involved in bitcoin mining. The deal, reported by The Information, has not yet been confirmed by either company. IREN had previously mentioned a contract with an unnamed leading frontier AI lab, which is now believed to be Anthropic. This agreement would align IREN with Anthropic’s network of infrastructure partners, including AWS and Google. Anthropic was last valued at $965 billion following a significant funding round.
