The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) added Hyperliquid, a high-leverage perpetual futures platform, to its Investor Alert List on June 26, 2026. MAS cited the platform’s decentralized structure, which it says falls outside its oversight, as well as the lack of regulation in any major jurisdiction. Hyperliquid Labs is registered in Singapore but holds no MAS license. The regulator drew a clear line between institutional perpetual futures offered on SGX and retail-focused products like Hyperliquid, which it considers significantly riskier for the general public. While this alert is not a ban, it could prompt other global regulators to increase scrutiny of decentralized perpetual futures platforms.
