Meta’s Muse AI agent puts server CPUs back in the spotlight

Meta launched its personal AI agent Muse on September 8, 2026, running on AMD EPYC Turin processors (EPYC 9D25 models with up to 128 cores). The launch pushed AMD’s market capitalization above $1 trillion for the first time, while Intel gained approximately 12% and Arm approximately 17% over the same period. Muse topped the US app store rankings and surpassed 500,000 daily active users within weeks. The server CPU market could exceed $120 billion by 2030, with CPU-to-GPU ratios for agentic workloads estimated between 4:1 and 40:1 depending on scenarios.
