The EU’s tech chief, Henna Virkkunen, stated that European AI regulations are fully capable of handling risks posed by rogue AI agents. The EU AI Act, adopted two years ago and based on a risk-level classification system, covers the entire lifecycle of AI models. The European Commission requested information in late August from more than 30 unidentified AI companies regarding their security measures. These statements come as Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei warned about AI development moving too fast.
