Corporate registry documents reveal that CryptoBilis changed ownership in March 2026, with 100% of its capital now held by a certain Jiaming, based in China’s Heilongjiang province. Tether froze approximately $10 million in USDT from the stolen funds, while Chainalysis identified a sophisticated cross-chain money laundering operation through Tornado Cash. Former Mt. Gox CEO Mark Karpeles discovered a spy module equipped with an LTE chip and eSIM in a Ledger from Malaysia, capable of transmitting the recovery phrase via mobile network.
