Cramer: Investors selling Apple on latest iPhone 18 report are ‘stupid as plywood’

Share

Jim Cramer, host of Mad Money on CNBC, criticized investors on Friday for selling their Apple shares after the stock fell roughly 2%. The decline followed a Nikkei Asia report stating that the tech giant was cutting component orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max by 15% due to weaker demand. Cramer encouraged investors to use this weakness to start a position by buying 25 shares and cast doubt on the report’s accuracy. He highlighted several potential catalysts, including the upcoming launch of the iPhone Duo, Apple’s first foldable smartphone available for preorder on October 16 at a starting price of $1,999, as well as new smart home products expected at the ‘Welcome Home’ event on October 13.
