Nvidia partners with six financial giants to fund AI compute

On August 10, 2026, Nvidia signed memorandums of understanding with six financial institutions: Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs and KKR. The goal is to build compute financing platforms targeting over $500 billion in third-party capital for AI infrastructure. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang indicated the company could backstop up to $125 billion, or 25% of the projected deals. Nvidia has struck over $40 billion in AI equity and financing deals in 2026, bringing total equity investments to approximately $99 billion by late July. Nvidia shares slipped about 3% on the news.
