PepsiCo plans to raise prices on certain snacks and sodas, including Doritos, Ruffles, SunChips and some beverages, with single-digit percentage increases. The company used a 178 million dollar tariff refund to offset rising costs for fuel, aluminum and agricultural commodities, but that money will not be available in coming quarters. Beverage volumes fell 2% in the third quarter while Frito-Lay snack volumes were flat. Revenue reached 25.27 billion dollars in the third quarter, up 5.6%, while net income jumped 17% to 3.07 billion dollars. PepsiCo lowered its full-year earnings growth forecast to 2.5% to 3.5%, down from 5% to 7%, while maintaining its revenue growth forecast at 6% for the year.
