Polygon Labs announced that its Open Money Stack solution now supports the TRON network, enabling businesses to receive, hold, route and pay out USDT on this blockchain while connecting to fiat banking rails and other chains. According to Polygon, more than $94 billion in USDT currently circulates on TRON, representing more than half of the total supply of this stablecoin across supported chains. The integration allows businesses to provide customers with a persistent TRON deposit address, manage balances through an appropriate wallet model and route assets to other blockchains via Polygon Trails without the user having to use a bridge themselves. This approach positions Polygon as an orchestration layer rather than a competing chain, leaving TRON as the balance layer while Polygon software handles surrounding services. Competition in the stablecoin sector is thus shifting toward infrastructure connecting these balances to bank accounts, businesses and other chains.
