Hyperliquid Labs confirmed to the Financial Times that it has a registered headquarters in Singapore, but the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) repeated that it does not consider itself competent to regulate the perpetual contracts platform, three months after placing it on its alert list. The Singapore regulator cites the decentralized structure of the platform, where orders execute on blockchain and funds remain with users, making it impossible to designate an intermediary for licensing. The United Kingdom (FCA) and the United States (CFTC alerted by CME and ICE) have also taken note of the platform without being able to take further action.
