SBI Holdings, one of Japan’s largest fintech groups, has partnered with Mesh Connect and Money Forward to develop digital asset connectivity and payment infrastructure. The three companies have reached a basic agreement and plan to establish the joint venture in 2026. Mesh will hold a 60% stake, SBI Group 26% and Money Forward 14%. The venture will leverage Mesh’s API-based connectivity infrastructure linking crypto exchanges, wallets and other digital asset services, combined with SBI Group’s regulatory expertise. Planned services include digital asset transfers, streamlined purchasing and payment solutions using crypto assets and stablecoins.
