Solana gets JPMorgan input on settlement: What could SOL gain?

Share

The Solana Foundation has launched Solana DvP, a delivery-versus-payment settlement system developed with input from JPMorgan, a financial giant with approximately $880 billion in assets. This system enables both sides of a transaction to execute in a single operation with settlement finality in seconds, compared to one to two days for traditional processes. Meanwhile, Solana’s memecoin volume has dropped from $260 billion to $57 billion, while tokenized asset volume surged from $33 million to $8 billion, a 242x increase. Circle also recently minted $750 million in USDC on Solana, indicating growing liquidity on the network. This launch marks a shift from institutional adoption through ETFs to direct use of Solana as settlement infrastructure for traditional financial institutions.
