With $21B in Q3 gains, Strategy out-performed Meta, Broadcom, and Walmart

Strategy reported $21 billion in gains on digital assets in Q3 2026, ranking 7th among the largest S&P 500 companies by quarterly operating income. Michael Saylor’s firm has delivered a 52% annual return since August 2020, outperforming Bitcoin (38%), the Nasdaq 100 (19%), and the S&P 500 (16%). It surpassed giants such as Meta ($19 billion), Broadcom ($16 billion), and Walmart ($9 billion). The performance stems from its leveraged Bitcoin acquisition strategy, borrowing and issuing shares to accumulate more BTC, which remains a high-risk gamble. Bitcoin is currently trading near $85,000, down roughly 2% year-to-date.
