Coinbase announced on October 6, 2026 the return of its Pro platform, now integrated into the newly formed Coinbase Global Exchange, which emerged from the acquisition of Deribit in August 2025 for approximately $2.9 billion. The platform will bring together spot, futures, perpetuals, options and equities in a single space, with margin trading offering up to 10x on major assets and up to 5x on others. On October 1, 2026, clients of the Coinbase International Exchange were migrated to Deribit’s infrastructure, which held over $30 billion in Bitcoin options open interest as of September 30, 2026, and had processed more than $1 trillion in trading volume over the preceding year. The full Coinbase Pro relaunch is slated for the end of 2026.
