Wall Street views potential talks between Elon Musk and Taiwan’s TSMC over his Texas semiconductor factory Terafab as potentially harmful to Intel, SpaceX’s historic partner. Intel shares fell 3% on Monday and another 3% on Tuesday. Bank of America analysts believe any deal would focus more on component purchases for Tesla and SpaceX product lines rather than technology licensing or joint manufacturing. Mizuho analyst called it “great news for TSM” and “a modest negative for Intel bulls,” whose shares have more than tripled year-to-date. TSMC has gained nearly 60% over the same period.
