Atlassian and OpenAI announced on October 6, 2026 the expansion of their partnership initiated in 2023. GPT-6 family models will be integrated into Jira and Confluence, with Rovo as the central AI tool combined with Atlassian’s Teamwork Graph to provide organizational context to AI agents. More than 3,000 Atlassian developers already use Codex and the company has expanded its internal use of ChatGPT Enterprise. MCP Server connectors will enable data sharing between ChatGPT, Codex, and Atlassian tools, a key test for future adoption.
