HIVE Digital’s BUZZ HPC turns Bitcoin mining sites into Canadian AI infrastructure

HIVE Digital Technologies, through its subsidiary BUZZ HPC, is repurposing Bitcoin mining facilities into GPU cloud services for artificial intelligence. The company has signed two contracts worth approximately $570 million Canadian: a three-year deal with Bell AI Fabric for $220 million deploying 2,304 NVIDIA Grace Blackwell GPUs for Cohere Inc., and a five-year contract worth $350 million with an unnamed client for 2,016 NVIDIA GB300 GPUs. BUZZ HPC targets annual recurring revenue of approximately $180 million by September 2026, after achieving average daily revenue exceeding $1 million on September 10, 2026. The company also plans to build a 320 MW AI gigafactory in the Greater Toronto Area with an estimated investment of CAD $3.5 billion, expected to come online in the second half of 2027.
