Nvidia shares hit a record high of $237.88 in Friday trading, lifting the chipmaker’s market value to roughly $5.7 trillion, the largest of any company. The board added $150 billion to its buyback authorization, bringing the total to $235 billion through fiscal 2028. Nvidia reported $96.2 billion in revenue for the quarter ended July 26, up 106% year-over-year, with data centers accounting for $89 billion of that. The company committed $30 billion to OpenAI and $10 billion to Anthropic, and forecast $108 billion in revenue for the current quarter.
