The International Monetary Fund has approved a 138 million dollar disbursement to El Salvador despite its concerns regarding the country’s bitcoin strategy. The institution maintains its requirement that the Salvadoran state does not proceed with any additional Bitcoin accumulation beyond documented donations. The IMF also demands that the state’s remaining exposure to the Chivo wallet be fully unwound.
