Porsche’s ‘long haul’ Web3 project ends in less than four years

Share

Porsche announced the end of its Web3 project and Pioneers Circle community, nearly four years after its launch. The 911 NFT collection, launched in January 2023, was capped at 2,363 tokens out of the 7,500 initially planned due to criticism over pricing and lack of utility. Trading volume on OpenSea stands at roughly $20 million all-time, but only $38,000 over the past year and about $2,900 over the past month. The NFTs will remain with their holders and continue to exist on-chain. Porsche will turn the community’s Discord server into a read-only archive and stop actively updating the project’s X account.
