The proposal, which became one of the most commented EIPs in the history of the Ethereum Magicians forum with over 200 comments, would have burned a growing share of rewards reaching 100% when 60.25 million ETH is staked, dropping net yield from 2.6% to 1.2% at the 33% staking ratio. Jérôme de Tychey, president of Ethereum France and one of the six authors, said the authors agreed that fork scoping was the wrong venue for an issuance policy change. The authors now plan a separate process from November to EthCC in April, with Lido offering to help steer that process.
