OpenAI is seeking to raise at least $30 billion from investors at a valuation of approximately $1.4 trillion, while its IPO is being pushed back to 2027. The company previously raised $122 billion in March 2025 at a post-money valuation of $852 billion. Its annualized revenue is now approaching $70 billion, up more than 70% since the beginning of the third quarter, while enterprise sales have more than doubled since July. This funding round comes as OpenAI competes with Anthropic, which confidentially filed for an IPO in June and could seek a valuation above $2 trillion. OpenAI also launched Dots, an AI agent, and introduced a new $500-per-month premium subscription tier.
