US bank group taps Quant for tokenized deposits, but QNT’s role is left in doubt

The Clearing House, a US bank-owned payments operator, has selected Quant to supply software for its planned tokenized deposits network, targeting the first half of 2027. The deal does not specify whether transactions on the network will require purchasing or using Quant’s QNT utility token. QNT reached an intraday high of $373 on September 27 before dropping to $195.35 the following day. The Clearing House settles over $2 trillion daily across its RTP and CHIPS payment systems. Quant’s selection for this banking infrastructure project leaves the path to QNT demand unresolved.
