Goldman Sachs has announced the integration of its approximately $100 billion FTIXX money-market fund onto the Avalanche blockchain via the Lynq platform. Rather than tokenizing the fund, this operation relies on a private, permissioned blockchain settlement infrastructure that enables crypto-native trading firms to access it. Transactions are processed by tZERO Securities, an SEC-registered broker-dealer, and the offering is currently limited to eligible US clients. Lynq has already onboarded more than 30 institutional clients, including B2C2, Wintermute, Galaxy, FalconX, Crypto.com and Fireblocks, collectively holding more than $89 million in assets on the platform. This approach allows firms to generate yield on idle cash between trades without using traditional financial channels.
