The Stellar blockchain network reached a peak of 217.4 transactions per second (TPS) over a 100-block window, breaking the previous record of approximately 211 TPS that had stood for less than two weeks. This performance was primarily driven by an influx of institutional capital in real-world assets (RWAs), where Stellar ranks fourth globally with $3.38 billion. The Protocol 28 (Adapter) upgrade, activated in September, introduced an accelerated consensus mechanism that eliminated minor delays during peak demand periods. The network hosts only 72 active RWA projects with an average value of $47 million per project, compared to $5.7 million on Ethereum and $1.4 million on Solana. Three major issuers account for the bulk of transaction flows: Spiko Amundi Overnight Swap Fund ($1.16 billion), Ondo USDY ($536 million), and Franklin Templeton’s tokenized BENJI bonds ($431 million).
