Bitget suffered a major hack on September 24, 2026, with approximately $351.6 million in unauthorized transfers from its hot and warm wallets at 18:31 UTC. The exchange immediately suspended withdrawals, while deposits and trading remain operational. CEO Gracy Chen confirmed that cold wallets remain intact and that the loss will be fully covered by the User Protection Fund, which holds over $464 million. On-chain analysts have traced between $170 and $190 million so far, with the gap explained by yet-unidentified addresses and assets on less-monitored chains. The attacker attempted to quickly convert funds via UniswapX and 1inch Fusion, then move them across chains using Stargate and cBridge bridges.
