Optimism has released op-batcher v1.17.0, a required upgrade for batching operators on OP Stack chains. The release adds compatibility with Ethereum’s Glamsterdam hard fork, security fixes and configurable AltDA limits. The batcher is a critical piece of rollup infrastructure that collects Layer 2 transaction data and submits it to Layer 1, enabling the rollup to inherit Ethereum’s data availability guarantees. Operators are strongly advised to install this upgrade to ensure the chain’s continued operation.
