The HYPE token reached a record level above $90 following Hyperliquid’s launch of a new manual borrowing feature. This option allows users to directly borrow USDC or USDT using HYPE or Bitcoin as collateral, beyond the existing portfolio margin system. The protocol reported $269 million in assets borrowed across its underlying infrastructure on Friday. This rollout comes two days after Payward, the parent company of exchange Kraken, announced plans to offer onchain perpetual futures markets for US clients, starting with Hyperliquid’s HIP-3 markets. Additionally, former Robinhood engineers have been charged in the United States for alleged pre-listing cryptocurrency trades.
