Chipotle is currently piloting a food safety risk management platform developed by Palantir, a data company that received its first major funding in 2005 from In-Q-Tel, the CIA’s venture capital arm. Chipotle confirmed the pilot but did not specify whether employee data could be individually identified or whether customers would ever see store scores. Palantir already works with other food industry companies including Tyson, General Mills, and Wendy’s.
