CLARITY Act: SEC and CFTC Take Back Control After Senate Rejection

The CLARITY Act was rejected by the US Senate, putting an end to this attempt to establish a federal regulatory framework for digital assets. Following this legislative setback, the SEC and CFTC have chosen to continue their regulatory actions independently, without waiting for new legislation. An ETF analyst estimates that this period of regulation through practice could last approximately two and a half years. This situation leaves crypto sector players in a fragmented regulatory environment, defined on a case-by-case basis by the two US authorities.
