DEX aggregator 0x published research on September 14 stating that Uniswap v4 hooks are a mistake, as most analyzed hooks quote one price but settle another. Out of 84,163 hooks analyzed across six chains, 0x classified 54.2% as malicious and 26.4% as likely malicious, with malicious trades executing up to 50% less than the quoted amount. Uniswap responded on September 15 through founder Hayden Adams, calling the report a « skill issue » and arguing that routers should simply avoid bad hooks. The UNI token traded at $6.35 on September 15, up 1.5% on the day.
