Morgan Stanley joins Goldman Sachs in 11th-hour switch to forecasting a Fed hike

Morgan Stanley announced late Monday that it had changed its forecast regarding U.S. monetary policy. The bank shifted from expecting the Federal Open Market Committee to keep rates unchanged to forecasting an interest rate hike. This reversal places it alongside Goldman Sachs, which had already made the same change. Both major Wall Street banks are now anticipating monetary tightening by the U.S. Federal Reserve.
