Apple officially launched the iPhone Duo, its first foldable smartphone, during its annual fall product launch event. The device, priced starting at $1,999 with pre-orders beginning October 16, directly competes with Samsung in this segment. The company also unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, with base prices increasing by $100 to $1,199 and $1,299 respectively. On the macroeconomic front, Brent crude crossed above $101 per barrel for the first time since July, weighing on consumer stocks. Additionally, Kimberly-Clark issued disappointing third-quarter guidance with sales down a low-single-digit percentage and EPS down a low-teens percentage, causing the stock to fall below $100.
