Development company Consensys announced its split into two distinct entities: MetaMask, renamed Consensys Software Inc. and now responsible for developing self-custody financial services under the leadership of Joe Lubin, and the new Consensys entity which will group institutional blockchain infrastructure activities under the direction of Mike Kriak. This separation could relaunch Consensys’ IPO project, postponed a few months ago due to unfavorable market conditions. It could also facilitate the long-awaited airdrop of the MASK token by resolving the cohabitation issue between tokens and shares that has been holding back listed crypto companies.
