Aave Labs has launched a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server providing AI applications with a standardized endpoint to access live lending data from Aave V3 and V4 protocols. The server, accessible at mcp.aave.com, connects to V3 deployments across 21 blockchains and to V4 on Ethereum and Avalanche, covering the vast majority of Aave’s deployed capital. Approximately 40 tools are available at launch, allowing users and AI agents to check wallet positions, examine health factors, simulate potential actions, and prepare unsigned transactions. The non-custodial design means the server can assemble transactions but never holds keys or signs anything, addressing a key trust question in the AI-agent space.
