Malone Lam, a 22-year-old Singaporean citizen, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to a racketeering conspiracy that drained more than $245 million in cryptocurrency. The young man, who used the aliases ‘Anne Hathaway’ and ‘King Greavy,’ coordinated an international group operating through online gaming platforms and using social engineering to empty victims’ digital wallets. Members operated from California, Connecticut, New York, Florida, and abroad. The stolen funds were used to finance an extravagant lifestyle including nightclub bills reaching $500,000 in a single evening, watches exceeding $500,000 each, and exotic cars priced as high as $3.8 million. A status hearing is scheduled for December 8 before Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly.
