Its chances of adoption before year-end have dropped to 17% on Polymarket, down from 75% in May. Republicans, who control 53 seats out of the 60 needed, are facing Democratic demands and resistance from the banking sector. Senator Cynthia Lummis warned that without passage this year, the next opportunity to legislate on crypto market structure will not arise until 2030.
