Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has rejected a warning that artificial intelligence will trigger a Bitcoin crash. AI risk commentator Liron Shapira assigned 50% confidence to a fall of more than 50% in Bitcoin prices within two years. Buterin responded that his holdings already put him on the opposite side of the bet, with roughly 90% of his net worth in crypto. Bitcoin currently trades near $79,827, so a 50% decline would bring it to approximately $40,000.
