XDOF, a San Mateo-based startup specializing in data infrastructure for robotics and embodied AI, is reportedly in discussions to raise a Series B round at a $1.2 billion valuation. The company exited stealth mode on June 17, 2026, and just two to three months ago closed a $70 million Series A led by Thrive Capital, Spark Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Lux Capital, and WndrCo, bringing its total funding to approximately $78 million. Founded in October 2024 by Philipp Wu, Yide (Fred) Shentu, and Nemo Jin, XDOF employs around 60 people and serves roughly 20 customers, primarily frontier AI labs and robotics firms. The startup has also partnered with UC Berkeley and MIT to release ABC-130K, the largest open-source dataset for bimanual robot manipulation, containing 130,000 trajectories across 195 bimanual tasks.
