The group is urging organizations to adopt post-quantum cryptography now, as data stolen today could be decrypted later by sufficiently powerful quantum computers. Developers of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana are already testing defenses against this threat, including proposals such as BIP-360 for Bitcoin and the rebuilding of Ethereum’s deposit contract.
