CLARITY Act’s September 15 vote faces delay – ‘Can Democrats work with Republicans?’

The vote on the CLARITY Act, originally scheduled for September 15, has been delayed due to House Republican leadership canceling the voting weeks of September 21st and 28th. The US Congress only has a handful of voting days in mid-September before the midterm elections, leaving insufficient time to pass this cryptocurrency market structure bill. Substantial disagreements over the bill’s content remain significant, and Polymarket approval odds have dropped to 18%. House Financial Services Committee Chairman French Hill nonetheless maintained that the September 15 vote will be crucial in evaluating whether Democrats can work with Republicans on distributed ledger technology and financial services.
