Your Exchange Is Selling ‘Fake bitcoins,’ Says the Bitcoin Knots Developer

Luke Dashjr, developer of Bitcoin Knots, accuses major exchanges of selling fake bitcoins following the bitcoin hard fork that split his BLAKE2b chain from the network. He blames platforms that skipped running their own full nodes. Bitcoin (BTC) trades around $80,670, up 3.83% in 24 hours. Miner support for the fork peaked at just 2.53%, far below the required 55% threshold. No major exchange has listed the forked coin, and hashrate on the new chain has continued to decline since the September 1 split.
