Adam Aron, CEO of AMC Entertainment, condemned Robinhood on Wednesday for issuing tokens tracking his company’s stock price without AMC’s consent. He said the company’s outside securities counsel would look into this practice. The tokens in question are debt securities issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited and give holders no rights in AMC or its shares. Robinhood’s program covers more than 190 companies. These tokens are not registered in the United States and cannot be offered to U.S. buyers.
