Bitget reportedly in talks with BlackRock to boost Asian distribution

Seychelles-based crypto exchange Bitget is reportedly in discussions with BlackRock and other Wall Street firms to expand distribution across Asia, where household wealth is estimated at roughly $108 trillion. The talks follow a meeting in May 2026 between Bitget CEO Gracy Chen and BlackRock COO Rob Goldstein, focused on tokenized assets and blockchain infrastructure. Bitget has developed tokenized assets to the point where they now account for approximately 40% of its total trading volume, with over 125 million users. BlackRock is simultaneously strengthening its crypto presence in Asia-Pacific with hires in Singapore, and one executive estimated that even a modest 1% shift in Asian portfolios toward crypto could generate nearly $2 trillion in new inflows.
